Jakarta - To improve the effectiveness of coordination of the implementation of recovery programs for victims of terrorism, victims of past terrorism, and victims of terrorism outside the territory of the Republic of Indonesia, it is necessary to have regulations regarding integrated implementation coordination at the Ministry/Institution and regional government levels. Therefore, BNPT held the Second Phase of Harmonization of the National Counterterrorism Agency Regulation on Coordination of the Implementation of the Recovery Program for Victims of Terrorism on Monday (19/4/2021) virtually.
This meeting was led by the Head of the Harmonization Sub-Directorate for Defense and Security of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Hernadi, S.H., M.H., attended by the Director of Protection of BNPT, Brigadier General Pol. Drs. Herwan Chaidir, Head of the Victim Recovery Sub-Directorate, Colonel (Czi) Roedy Widodo, Head of the Victim Recovery Section, Muhammad Lutfi, S.IP., M.Sc., Head of the Facilities and Infrastructure Recovery Section, Nurturyanto, S.E., Secretary General of LPSK, Dr. Ir. Noor Sidharta, M.H. MBA, representatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the Ministry of Health, representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs, representatives of the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia and representatives of the Police of the Republic of Indonesia.
This meeting was intended to hear opinions from related Ministries and Institutions. Head of the Infrastructure and Facilities Recovery Section, Nurturyanto, S.E., explained that if in accordance with the track record that we all know, the first time this Bandage was implemented in 2018, "it has been running for three years and is currently only realized with dense content, the formal references and plans for this Bandage are the 2021 BNPT Work Plan and the work program of the Deputy for Prevention, Protection and Deradicalization," he said.
Nurturyanto added that the preparation of the guidelines for the National Counterterrorism Agency Regulation on Coordination of the Implementation of the Recovery Program for Victims of Terrorism Crimes is a derivative form of the mandate of Law Number 5 of 2018 concerning the Eradication of Terrorism Crimes, Government Regulation Number 7 of 2018 concerning the Provision of Compensation, Restitution, and Assistance to Witnesses and Victims, Presidential Regulation Number 12 of 2012 concerning the National Counterterrorism Agency and Regulation of the Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency Number PER-01/K.BNPT/I/2017 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the National Counterterrorism Agency.
The discussion to listen to opinions went smoothly by ensuring that the language used in the formulation was in line with the correct Indonesian language rules and used the right choice of words. This discussion was closed with an agreement to conduct an internal discussion related to chapter four.
