Jakarta – The National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) has demonstrated a serious commitment to supporting the policies of the Central Information Commission (KIP). This effort fulfills the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Transparency (UU KIP), which guarantees the public's right to information and regulates the obligations of public bodies.
This commitment was emphasized by the Head of BNPT, Eddy Hartono, S.I.K., M.H., during the BNPT and KIP Synergy and Fellowship Forum in Jakarta on Monday (8/9).
"BNPT is ready to support KIP's policies in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Transparency, which regulates public rights and the obligations of public bodies," he explained.
Eddy added that BNPT is also prepared to take on a role as a coordinator for Ministries and Agencies in the field of counter-terrorism to encourage active participation in realizing information transparency.
On the other hand, the Chairperson of KIP, Donny Yoesgiantoro, highlighted the importance of data interoperability among public bodies, particularly within the defense and security sectors. According to him, this will facilitate the integrated exchange, access, and use of data, which will ultimately accelerate work processes and decision-making.
For reference, in 2024, BNPT successfully achieved the predicate of "Towards Informative" (Menuju Informatif). This result serves as a foundation for BNPT to continue improving and enhancing the quality of its public information services.
