Jakarta - Following up on the Memorandum of Understanding between the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), BNPT through the Legal Bureau held a virtual discussion on the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) with PT Pertamina (Persero) regarding Counterterrorism in the Provision of Facilities and Infrastructure of PT Pertamina (Persero) on Friday (30/4/21).
This meeting was attended by the Head of the Community Empowerment Sub-Directorate, Chairil Anwar, Head of the Vital Object Security Section, AKBP Zulkifli, S.Ag, S.H, Head of the Legal Sub-Division, Riza Lukman Erfiyanto, S.H., M.Kn., representatives of the Deputy for International Cooperation, Legal Bureau Staff and representatives of PT Pertamina (Persero). The discussion was to formulate in more detail the scope of cooperation between BNPT and PT Pertamina (Persero). The discussion began by going through the articles one by one.
The purpose of this Cooperation Agreement is to enhance the role of both parties in accordance with their respective functions in preventing acts of terrorism in the environment of PT Pertamina (Persero), creating a work environment and human behavior that is free from radical terrorism, obtaining input and suggestions for the Development of Socialization Methods and the Implementation and Training that are appropriate for the Prevention of Intolerant Radicalism in the environment of PT Pertamina (Persero).
The discussion of the draft PKS was agreed upon up to the scope. What was agreed upon was to eliminate the legal basis for the Law and several words that were still awaiting internal discussion by each party, such as the use of the words 'countermeasures' or 'prevention' in the title of the PKS. In closing, both parties agreed to discuss the PKS face-to-face with each party preparing what would be changed or agreed upon.
