BNPT AND PNM SYNERGIZE IN BUILDING COMMUNITY WELFARE IN ORDER TO PREVENT INTOLERANT RADICAL UNDERSTANDING

Bogor - As a follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) and the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) on Synergy in Preventing Terrorism within the Ministry of BUMN on October 11, 2019, BNPT and Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM) synergized in a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) on Building Community Welfare in the Framework of Preventing Intolerant Radicalism on Tuesday (30/3/21) in West Java.

The cooperation between BNPT and PNM includes the exchange of data and information, including information related to the recruitment of prospective employees including subsidiaries and affiliated companies, assistance in the preparation of internal guidelines related to the prevention of criminal acts of terrorism within the PNM environment, assistance and business training for Survivors of Criminal Acts of Terrorism and Former Terrorist Convicts, the implementation of education and training, socialization related to the prevention of criminal acts of terrorism to all PNM employees, and other activities that can be carried out by utilizing the potential of both parties.

In the future, with this PKS, one of PNM's obligations is to provide mentoring and business training for Survivors and Former Terrorism Convicts who become MSME Actors or Productive Businesses on the recommendation of BNPT. One of BNPT's obligations is to provide material and understanding on preventing criminal acts of terrorism that includes National Preparedness and Counter Radicalization for all PNM employees.

This PKS consists of 12 chapters and 17 articles, valid for a period of three years, starting from March 30, 2021.
