Jakarta – The National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) has successfully achieved the title of "Informative Public Body" at the 2025 Public Information Openness (KIP) Awards organized by the Central Information Commission (KIP).

This achievement reaffirms BNPT's commitment to ensuring information transparency and accountability, particularly in efforts to counter the threat of radicalism in the digital space.

“Information transparency plays a strategic role in facing the dynamics of radicalism threats in the digital space and the heavy flow of disinformation. We are here to provide transparent and accountable information services,” said the Main Secretary of BNPT, Bangbang Surono, A.k., M.M., CA., met after receiving the KIP Award in Jakarta on Monday (12/15).

According to him, this achievement was also reached through the strengthening of information service governance, implemented strictly in accordance with the standards set by KIP. This reinforcement was realized through strengthening the roles and functions of the PPID (Information Management and Documentation Officer), the continuous preparation and updating of information lists, and the optimization of digital services.

The Main Secretary of BNPT also emphasized that the "Informative Public Body" title is not merely an achievement, but a responsibility that must be consistently maintained by all ranks.

“This title is not just an achievement, but a responsibility. I invite all ranks within BNPT to consistently meet information service standards, strengthen coordination with the PPID, and remain responsive to public needs," he added.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Central Information Commission, Dr. Ir. Donny Yoesgiantoro, M.M., M.P.A., invited all Public Bodies to strengthen the role of the PPID and expressed his hope that information transparency in every public body will continue to improve.

"If the PPID is strong and supported by the leadership of the Public Body, information transparency is not a difficult thing to achieve. A strong PPID will naturally respond to information requests from the public and provide clear explanations. We hope that public information transparency gets better year after year,” said Donny.

The KIP Awards is the highest appreciation event for broadcasting institutions, public bodies, and broadcasting professionals who have rendered great service and contributed significantly to the broadcasting field in the country. It was noted that 141 broadcasting institutions and 386 public bodies participated in the 2025 KIP. This event also marked the official launching of the Public Information Openness Index.
