Jakarta – The National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT), through the Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID), participated in the 2025 Public Information Openness Exhibition held on October 14–16 in Jakarta.

This activity became an important momentum for BNPT to strengthen its commitment to information transparency and improve public service capacity.

The Head of BNPT’s Bureau of Planning, Law, and Public Relations, Brigadier General Tejo Wijanarko, S.I.K., stated that the participation of BNPT's PPID in this exhibition is an opportunity to learn and collaborate with various other state institutions.

“First and foremost, BNPT's PPID needs to learn. Through an event like this, we can certainly see, hear, and communicate with various parties about how PPID functions in other ministries and agencies, including State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN). From there, I believe we can learn,” he remarked.

Tejo added that although BNPT's PPID was relatively recently established in 2021, the spirit to continuously improve and provide optimal service to the community remains a priority.

“We hope to become a better PPID, both in terms of its service to the public and the products we generate. I am confident that with the spirit and ability to learn, BNPT's PPID in the future will be able to provide more optimal services, both in terms of service and the information materials we provide,” he explained.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Central Information Commission of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Donny Yoesgiantoro, M.M., M.P.A., appreciated the enthusiasm of the public bodies participating in this first-ever public information openness exhibition in Indonesia.

“This is the first time it has been organized in Indonesia. The enthusiasm is undeniable; there are 70 public bodies and 36 public body stands supporting this event,” he revealed.

Donny explained that this exhibition serves as a forum for public bodies to mingle and collaborate in realizing adaptive transparency and strengthening the engagement between public institutions, the Central Information Commission (KIP), and the community.

“The goal is to gather innovations and programs, but also to create engagement between public bodies with KIP and the public. Public openness has its benefits,” he added.

Meanwhile, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi), Dr. Ir. Ismail, M.T., highlighted the importance of information openness in the digital era while maintaining data security and integrity.

“Information and data are digital and accessible. Information is much easier to obtain now. Openness is necessary, but we must also maintain data integrity,” he said.

Ismail emphasized that the quality of public information services today is determined by the balance between transparency, speed of access, and data security.

“Openness and the expectation to get easy and fast access must go hand in hand. KIP needs to adapt to digital technology. Be brave enough to open up, brave enough to use access, but also ensure the data is secure,” he concluded.

Through this event, BNPT is committed to continuously strengthening transparent, accountable, and service-oriented public information governance, in line with the spirit of information openness to realize an independent and globally competitive Indonesia.
