Jakarta – The National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT) is strengthening its public information services through various innovative steps to expand public access while improving the quality of information services.
The Head of BNPT’s Bureau of Planning, Law, and Public Relations, Brigadier General Tejo Wijanarko, S.I.K., as the Information Management and Documentation Officer (PPID), emphasized that this development is a concrete manifestation of BNPT's commitment to implementing principles of accountability and transparency that support terrorism prevention strategies.
“Of course, we are implementing innovations to achieve BNPT’s main task, which is terrorism prevention,” Tejo stated during the Public Information Openness Public Test event on Tuesday (11/18).
The launch of these services is in line with the mandate of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Transparency, while simultaneously strengthening the role of the PPID as a manager of information that is fast, easy, and accountable. BNPT views information transparency as a vital element in building public understanding and support for terrorism prevention programs.
Brigadier General Tejo also conveyed BNPT's commitment to continuously developing sustainable innovations. Public information service innovation not only fulfills the obligation to provide information but also serves as a strategic instrument to strengthen terrorism prevention efforts in Indonesia.
“In 2026, we will implement other strategies and innovations so that BNPT can carry out prevention effectively—where we can provide information in the form of education on how to prevent radical ideologies,” he concluded.
For information, in 2025, BNPT's PPID launched a mobile application and enhanced the official website of the Information and Documentation Service Center (PPID). The BNPT PPID website is now available in two languages, Indonesian and English, as an effort to provide ease of information access to the public.
